Street Weed

What does Street Weed mean?

Street weed is marijuana that is sold on the street by dealers or growers. It is typically sold in states, provinces, or countries where cannabis remains illegal for recreational or medical use.

However, street weed can still be bought from dealers for lower prices than dispensaries charge in states where marijuana has been legalized for recreational use. The cheaper price is because the street dealer does not need to pay the excessive overhead expenses that the dispensaries face.

More Info On Street Weed

Many pot smokers get by just with street weed—it’s not taxed, and you don’t need to give out any of your personal information to walk away with the product.

Street weed is often just fine, but sometimes street weed is sub-par marijuana or shake. The buyer never knows the levels of cannabinoids such as tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in the street weed. It does not compare with the cannabis products that are available via legal dispensaries because the grower is less concerned with quality.

However, there are some dealers who take pride in their reputations and therefore only sell premium product. It can be hit and miss buying weed this way.

In states where marijuana remains illegal, the price of street weed remains excessively high. Street weed tends to be more dangerous or riskier to use because it can contain higher levels of pesticides or other unhealthy ingredients. For example, it can be laced with tobacco. It can also be moldy, which can pose a significant health risk to users, especially medical marijuana patients.
